Swindon Borough Council's Culture Swindon team develops, supports and delivers a wide range of activities and events. As well as encompassing Swindon Arts Centre, Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, Create Studios, Festivals and Events, the Swindon Mela, Artsmad - schools and youth arts - the team is currently promoting the Swindon Does Arts website, THE website to visit for arts news, events and opportunities in the region.
 

Culture Swindon is also responsible for Lydiard House and Park, the Richard Jeffries Museum and works with colleagues in the Parks team to programme the Swindon Bowl. It manages a number of key strategic partnership agreements with local and regional arts organisations including Sixth Sense Theatre For Young People, REACH Inclusive Arts, the Swindon Festival of Literature, Swindon Dance and the Wyvern Theatre.

The Swindon Strategic Partnership has identified engagement in the arts as a priority for the Local Area Agreement 2008 – 2011 and Culture Swindon is currently developing delivery plans with many locally based arts organisations.
 

Culture Swindon's mission is to make culture visible, valued, enjoyed and easily accessed by the people of Swindon.
